Emma graduated as a mature student in Arts Management in 1996. Since then she has worked in a variety of different arts organisations including the Regional Arts Board North West, Oldham Theatre Workshop, New Perspectives Theatre Company and the Lawrence Batley Theatre in Huddersfield.
For the last ten years Emma has been the General Manager of tutti frutti productions, a Leeds based children’s theatre company that tours nationally and internationally.
Emma joined Carrot Productions in 2013. Her love of music extends to learning the saxophone as an adult, for which Rachel has the dubious pleasure of teaching her. She is renowned for her somewhat unconventional approach to playing music (sometimes known as “making it up as you go along”) and is limping towards Grade 5.
She has also made quite an impact on the music world by simply teaching Rachel the correct pronunciation of the word “acciaccatura” which in turn has been widely disseminated. Clearly there are no bounds to her talents.
