Soloist Auditions for The Snowman Tour
We are delighted to once again offer children the chance to sing the evocative Walking in the Air solo on The Snowman Tour.
This is a wonderful and unique opportunity for young musicians to sing alongside our professional orchestra in front of hundreds of people.
All children aged 7-17 (aged 7-14 for Buxton and Derby) are eligible to apply for performances at ten different venues on the 2026 tour. Priority will be given to children who live, or are at school, in the area local to each venue.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for singers with the pure sound traditionally associated with this iconic song, rather than a pop or musical theatre sound. Male applicants should have unbroken voices.

Preparation
The score, and tracks are available below to help you prepare for your audition. We suggest practising your performance with the vocal track first, but move to the instrumental track without vocals as this will be what we expect in an audition.
