We have created programmes of family-friendly music for smaller groups of musicians, drawn from the orchestra for our acclaimed Snowman, Wallace & Gromit and Shaun the Sheep shows.

Our Musical Beasts and More Musical Beasts shows are performed in public family concerts, as well as in schools and special schools. These performances are interactive and highly engaging, offering a unique perspective and proximity to the music-making. After each performance there is a chance to meet the musicians and see the instruments up-close.

"I can’t praise this experience enough. This has been easily one of the best experiences for our SEN pupils that I have seen."
"The students were engaged from the start. They loved the costumes  and they got an opportunity to use some of the instruments at the end."
"The music performances were excellent and our students were enthralled by them. The performers were empathetic to our students' needs."

Ideal arts education package for schools

Our shows bring music and other art forms right into the heart of schools, with bespoke packages which:

  • offer differentiated performances - adaptable to the needs and abilities of year groups or individual classes

  • provide an extensive bank of supporting teaching and learning resources - for use prior to, and after, the performance

  • help schools meet the latest music curriculum demands

  • are accessible for everyone

  • are suitable for any educational setting or venue

  • include a new, specially composed song to sing and sign

  • are multi-disciplinary across the arts - with settings offered the option to select a special focus from singing, dancing, music performance, music composition, story writing, and illustration, if desired

Optional extras:

  • to participate in a live online drawing session with author / illustrator, David Litchfield

  • to complete a prepared workbook and achieve Arts Award Discovery

Since premiering in March 2022, the feedback about these shows has been overwhelmingly positive, providing some of the most meaningful and profound reactions ever experienced by the children, their teachers and our musicians.
