Carrot Productions have just undertaken an exciting residence at Nether Hall School in Leicestershire - bringing bespoke performances of our Fantastic Fairy Tales show to the heart of Leicestershire special schools.

Thank you again to you and your team for providing a wonderful performance that our children may not otherwise get to experience.

Fantastic Fairy Tales in Special Schools

We’ve been back on the road, sharing the joy of Fantastic Fairy Tales with special schools across Leicestershire. These inclusive performances bring live professional music directly to children who may not otherwise have access to it, creating immersive and engaging experiences designed just for them. We are enormously grateful to Leicestershire Music for making this tour possible.

It was an extremely immersive and powerful performance with live music, and in conversations with staff it was so lovely to hear the impact it had on the children and how they all engaged in the performance in their own way” Feedback from staff at one of the schools

Our Mission: Inclusion and Accessibility

At the heart of our work is a deep passion for enabling true inclusion in classical music. We believe every child deserves the opportunity to experience the magic of live performance, and we are dedicated to breaking down barriers to ensure music is accessible, exciting, and enriching for all.

“It was truly amazing to see the children interacting and focusing in ways that we do not usually see”

What a wonderful performance I have just watched today. The musicians were wonderful to watch, and the dancer / actor was just so engaging. Fabulous! No other words, Just fabulous!

Article in SEN Magazine

Our programmes for schools, children and communities are amongst the most meaningful work Carrot Productions does - and particularly performing in special schools.

In a recent article in SEN Magazine, Rachel Whibley, founder and Managing Director of Carrot Productions, talks about the most impactful, empowering and important musical performances the company has ever created. These musical performances for children with disabilities were specifically designed to be accessible and as inclusive as possible to maximise the impact for all.

Rachel talks about the challenges of putting on these performances, and the copious rewards that come with it. These performances have had a profound impact on the children who have seen them, and on the staff at the schools who have seen that impact firsthand. Rachel hopes that these performances will continue to make a difference in the lives of children with disabilities.

A wonderful case study I heard at the end was that one young person had not been in any lessons for the whole year, they sit in the corridor, and today they stayed in the whole performance and joined in with the musicians at the end of the workshop. The most he has engaged for the whole school year. A member of staff said the cost of the performance was worth it just for that one young person.Feedback from staff at one of the schools
