Join us for a world-first! A brand-new show raising funds to support Battersea Dogs & Cats Home: live orchestra, big screen, and for once, your dog can come to the show with you!
Be part of the world premiere of Paws at the Pictures – a completely unique film and live orchestra experience where dogs aren’t simply welcomed: they’re the guests of honour!
Join us on Saturday 21 November 2026 for one of three special performances (2pm, 4pm and 7pm) of Paws at the Pictures at Battersea Arts Centre.
Created by Carrot Productions after consultation with experts at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home, the show brings together live orchestral music, much-loved film, dog-focused activities and plenty of four-legged fun in what we believe to be the world’s first live orchestra cinema experience created especially for dogs and their humans.
The show and dog-friendly programme
Expect films on the big screen, plenty of dogs, live music played by our incredible Picture House Orchestra (all dressed up as dogs!) and a few surprises along the way…
🐾 The Great Dog Medley: the premiere of a brand-new orchestral medley of favourite songs featuring dogs
🐾 The 12 Dogs of Christmas: a specially written audience singalong, accompanied live by the orchestra
🐾 Meet a Battersea Dog: Battersea staff introduce the story of one of the wonderful dogs they have cared for
🐾 Behind the Scenes at Battersea: a specially selected short film offering an insight into the charity’s extraordinary work
🐾 The Snowman and the Snowdog: the show will culminate in a screening of this much-loved animated film on the big screen, with its beautiful soundtrack performed live by our award-winning orchestra

The day will be a joyful celebration of the extraordinary bond between dogs and their humans. 20% of every ticket purchased will go to Battersea*, raising vital funds to support the dogs and cats who need them.
A range of dog-themed stalls will also be available for companies to hire. Every penny of the stall-hire will go directly to Battersea**.
Before and after the show
Make a day of it and arrive early to enjoy everything happening around the venue. Seating is unreserved and is available on a first-come, first-served basis – so we advise arriving early to choose your seats.
Browse a selection of dog-focused stalls and exhibitors, meet the teams from Carrot Productions and Battersea, and visit the Paws & Pours Bar, serving refreshments for dogs and humans alike.
After the show you can meet and chat with our musicians and Battersea staff, browse the stalls, and take the chance to take a photo with The Snowman and the Snowdog characters.
Bring your dog
The event has been carefully planned. We spoke with experts from Battersea, to create essential advice and guidance on dog welfare, etiquette and what to expect when attending with your dog.
We want Paws at the Pictures to be every bit as enjoyable for our four-legged audience members as it is for their humans.
To ensure that the experience is safe and comfortable for everyone, there will be a maximum of 40 large dogs and 15 small lapdogs at each performance. It is therefore essential that you tell us when booking if you will be bringing a dog.
Staff and volunteers from Carrot Productions and Battersea will be on hand to help you find a suitable space where you and your dog can sit safely and comfortably together.

Your dogs on the big screen!
Did you know? At Carrot HQ there are usually at least four dogs in the office with us. Introducing....Wally Whibley!!
We’d love the dogs in our audience – and those who can’t be there – to become part of Paws at the Pictures too.
You can send us a high-resolution, landscape-oriented image of any one of the following:
🐾 A favourite photo of your dog
🐾 A favourite photo of you and your dog together
🐾 A drawing or painting of your dog
🐾 A treasured photograph of a much-loved dog who is no longer with us
You can also tell us a little about them if you’d like, such as their:
name, age, breed, favourite thing (tennis balls, muddy puddles, ear tickles, tummy rubs, stealing socks…) and what makes them special – just a sentence or two is perfect.
We’ll feature as many submissions as possible on the big screen before and after the performances, creating a joyful gallery celebrating the wonderful dogs who bring so much happiness to our lives.

*For each ticket sold Carrot Productions will pay 20% +VAT to Battersea Dogs Home Ltd, which gives all its distributable profits to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home (registered charity no. 206394).

Terms and conditions
For your protection and the comfort of all customers, Carrot Productions Limited reserves the right to refuse admission in reasonable circumstances such as rowdy or violent behaviour.
For the consideration of other audience members, latecomers may be asked to wait for a suitable break in the performance before taking their seats.
No audio or visual recording equipment is allowed.
By purchasing a ticket, the ticket holder consents to being shown as members of the audience in official filming, photography and sound recording.
Mobile phones and other electronic devices are distracting to other audience members. Please ensure they are switched off.
All children must be accompanied by and remain under the care and control of a responsible adult at all times.
