More Musical Beasts show back in Derbyshire schools this week

Updated: Mar 22

Our highly acclaimed show More Musical Beasts is back with schools' performances on the 19th and 21st of March in Matlock, Derbyshire.

"It was absolutely brilliant! All the children and staff who attended the performances said how wonderful it was. Thank you!"

This magical interactive concert of live music, dance and film is the ultimate accessible show, which can be adapted to work in any venue. It features a whistle-stop introduction to the instruments followed by the transformative story of The Ugly Duckling. Then, the windswept landscape of Connemara beckons, as we meet Dillon, a donkey with a dream, in the animated film A Donkey’s Tale. The performances culminate with a chance for the children to meet the musicians and try out the instruments.

In this sequel to our highly-acclaimed show Musical Beasts, a professional dancer comes to join in the fun. The show features specially created original music by Daniel Whibley, the musical director of Carrot Productions, and the composer behind CBeebies The Musical Story of the Gingerbread Man and the brand new CBeebies series: Musical Storyland.
