Carrot Productions takes Fantastic Fairy Tales to Hong Kong
We are very excited to be taking our acclaimed show, Fantastic Fairy Tales, to Hong Kong this August. A team of ten musicians and staff from Carrot Productions will be travelling to give six performances and four workshops at the Sheung Wan Civic Centre from 11-16 August 2026 as part of the Hong Kong Arts Festival.

Fantastic Fairy Tales - The Show
Since Fantastic Fairy Tales premiered in 2024, it has become one of our most popular shows, bringing some of the most popular fairy tales and children stories to life in an interactive extravaganza through live music, storytelling, acting, song, dance and film.
The shows and workshops in Hong Kong will centre around two classic tales featuring bears: Goldilocks and the Three Bears and David Litchfield's hit children's story: The Bear and the Piano.
Led by professional actor and dancer, Sophie Trueman, the show features music specially composed by our Artistic Director, Daniel Whibley – of CBeebies Musical Storyland and The Gingerbread Man fame! – performed by our wonderful musicians. The show also includes an introduction to the instruments, fantastic illustrations, beautifully animated into film, and a specially composed song with makaton signing.
After the concerts, the families will be able to meet the musicians, explore their costumes and instruments and even ask the musicians to play some requests!
Workshops for children and their parents:
Music and Movement Workshop
In this fun, interactive workshop led by Emma Dixon, a qualified Dalcroze specialist from Carrot Productions, children will explore music and storytelling through their bodies; dancing, moving and playing their way through the show's original music.
Music and Storymaking Workshop
Led by our flautist and qualified music therapist, Amina Hussain, this relaxed workshop invites families to explore percussion instruments and create musical ideas inspired by Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Participants will improvise rhythms and sound effects, which will then be woven together into a playful, brand-new musical story.
