Here at Carrot Productions, we are beyond excited to introduce our newest and most unusual creation yet: Paws at the Pictures!

Supported by ManyPets Pet Insurance – Founding Partner of Paws at the Pictures – Paws at the Pictures is the world’s very first live orchestra cinema experience where dogs are invited to sit alongside their human families to enjoy the performance.

“Paws at the Pictures is one of the most unique and exciting shows we’ve ever launched. Creating a space where people can enjoy world-class live orchestral music alongside their four-legged best friends—all while raising essential funds for animals in need—is a dream come true for our team.” Rachel Whibley, Managing Director, Carrot Productions

Paws at the Pictures

Imagine experiencing the magic of Raymond Briggs’ beloved animated film The Snowman and the Snowdog on the big screen, with Ilan Eshkeri's wonderful score performed live by our orchestra, together with lots of other dog-related music. Now, add a unique twist… you can bring your four-legged best friends along with you!

🐾 100% of Ticket Sales to Battersea! 🐾

Thanks to the incredible support and generosity of ManyPets, the operating cost of this event is being underwritten. What does this mean for our audiences? 100% of every single ticket sold will go directly to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home.

ManyPets’ sponsorship ensures that every penny raised at the box office goes straight to helping Battersea provide expert care, shelter, and love to thousands of dogs and cats in need across the UK. We couldn't ask for a better partner to help us launch this world-first experience!

“We are incredibly grateful to ManyPets for becoming our Founding Partner for Paws at the Pictures. Their generous sponsorship underwrites the entire event, meaning every single penny raised from ticket sales goes straight to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home. Partnering with a brand that shares our passion for celebrating the bond between pets and their people, while supporting dogs and cats in need, makes this milestone project even more special.” Fiona McCarthy, Fundraising & Partnerships Officer, Carrot Productions

What to expect on the day

Paws at the Pictures is a specially crafted, 45-minute concert designed to bring warmth, laughter, and high-calibre music to audiences of all ages (and breeds!).

Expect films on the big screen, plenty of dogs, live music played by our orchestra (all dressed up as dogs!) and a few surprises along the way…

Here is a glimpse of what’s in store during the event:

🐾 The Snowman and the Snowdog on the big screen: brought vividly to life by our musicians playing the soundtrack live.

🐾 The Great Dog Medley: An exclusive orchestral medley celebrating music’s most iconic dogs.

🐾 12 Dogs of Christmas: A festive and fun audience singalong with a canine twist!

🐾 Behind the Scenes at Battersea: a short film offering an insight into the charity’s extraordinary work

🐾 Meet a Battersea Dog: Battersea staff introduce the story of one of the wonderful dogs they have cared for

🐾 Lots More: a specially-curated Paws and Pours bar selling dog-inspired drinks, stalls selling doggy products and services, and the opportunity to have your photo taken with the Snowman and Snowdog!

No Dog? No Problem!

We’d love to reassure everyone: you do not need a dog to attend! Whether you are seeking a magical live orchestra outing, a fan of The Snowman and the Snowdog, or a dog lover who doesn't currently have a pet of their own, everyone is warmly welcome. Dogs are an optional (and very cute) addition to the audience—not an entry requirement!

Bringing Your Four-Legged Friend?

If you do have a dog who would love a day out, we’d be thrilled to welcome them! However, because dog numbers are strictly limited to ensure a comfortable and safe environment for all, you must purchase a £5 Dog Ticket when booking your human tickets.

To make sure the experience is positive for every dog in attendance, we have spoken with welfare experts at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home to establish our Dog Welfare & Etiquette Guidance.

Important tips if you plan to bring your dog:

  • Know your pet: If your dog loves busy, social spaces and meeting new people, they’ll fit right in! If they are nervous around crowds, sensitive to loud music, or easily overwhelmed, we recommend leaving them happily settled at home while you come and enjoy the show.

  • Lead required: Dogs must be kept on a short lead at all times.

  • Comfort breaks: A dedicated comfort-break area will be provided at the venue.

  • Aisle seats: We recommend selecting an aisle seat so you can easily step out into a quiet space if your dog needs a pause.

(Coming without a dog? Simply book your standard human tickets and enjoy the music!)

Book tickets

Come along for an unforgettable, heartwarming musical celebration where every ticket bought makes a direct difference to animals in need. We can't wait to welcome you—and your furry companions—to this very special premiere!

Your dogs on the big screen!

We’d love your dogs to become part of Paws at the Pictures too. You can send us a high-res, landscape-oriented image of any one of the following:

🐾 A favourite photo of your dog

🐾 A favourite photo of you and your dog together

🐾 A drawing or painting of your dog

🐾 A treasured photograph of a much-loved dog who is no longer with us

You might like to tell us a little about them, for example: their name, age, breed, favourite thing (tennis balls, socks, muddy puddles, ear tickles, tummy rubs…) and/or a sentence or two about what makes them special.

We’ll feature as many submissions as possible on the big screen before and after the performances, creating a joyful gallery celebrating the wonderful dogs who bring so much happiness to our lives.

Please email your submission to clare@carrotproductions.com by Monday 9 November 2026 at the latest.
